Joe McCorriston is a folk / punk-influenced pop singer-songwriter from Morecambe, Lancashire, UK.
He already has 3 albums to his name as well as many compilations and EPs. 2011’s EP “One Day”, 2012’s LP “Try As You Might” and 2014’s “Sick & Sand” are releases that symbolise Joe’s formative years, all released as a teenager.
The latest album “The Party We Came For”, was released on 16th December 2016, receiving many positive media reviews and the album launch show sold out weeks in advance. Joe continued to tour “The Party We Came For” via 145 shows in 11 different countries throughout 2017.
His musical influences range from Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan & Bruce Springsteen, to NOFX, Green Day & McFly, and these influences have been honed through Joe’s creative machine to make a sound unique enough to stand out, but catchy enough to leave you with the melodies in your head after one listen.
Joe is a workaholic, and is on tour more than he is at home, as he gigs endlessly around the UK & Europe building a following one-by-one.
New EP “Existence. Familiarity” is released on 25th January 2018 to coincide with the start of another year of graft & touring. Joe tours the UK with Coffee House Sessions in January, before heading to Scandinavia for a tour throughout February. In March, he will venture on a 3 week tour of Germany, before coming home in April for another full UK tour, covering every inch of the country.
Joe has played 650 shows as of December 2017, and is showing no signs of slowing down. Despite just being armed with an acoustic guitar, his live show is full of energy, passion and creativity to make you turn your head.
